Liew Niyomkarn is a sound artist and composer based in Brussels. Her work primarily explores field recordings, layers of sound, repetition of notes, harmonic spectra, and resonances achieved through various tuning systems. She presents her work through live performances and sound installations.

Julia E. Dyck is a Canadian artist and hypnotherapist based in Brussels. Her work moves between installation, performance, and guided trance, using voice, sound, and hypnotic suggestion to create collective experiences of altered perception. She is a member of Audio Placebo Plaza and the t.r.a.n.c.e community hypnosis initiative.

Liew and Julia will be working on a new installation during their residency at Overtoon. Inspired by the grottos, shrines, and speculative sanctuaries we encountered during their travels and research journey over the past years, they are developing a series of sculptural speaker-shrines that function as both sonic architecture and resonant instruments, bringing together psychoacoustic research, experimental sound practices, and tactile construction.
